Weekly Report

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  This week was so good! Much better than last week! I was being super negative last week and complaining a lot, so I relied on the Lord BIG time. I asked him to help me find more joy and he told me to stop complaining. Stop complaining about everything that's hard and going wrong, but instead to enjoy everyday. This week I focused on looking forward to at least one thing every day and it's made a world or a difference! I love my Savior and the things he helps me to get through.  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Study sessions - utilize my personal and companion study well so I can teach confidently and invite the spirit in to people's homes.  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  How did the exchange go?  Is there anything happ...

Happy Monday and happy birthday week! This week was soo good! Thank you for all your prayers and kindness <3  Last week, we hung out at the church and didn't really do anything which was fine because I got to talk with my family, and was much needed. I've been having a rough time, so it was nice being able to talk with them after a long week the week before. We also had chick fil a for lunch and the location is my fav because one time we went and the entire Dallas college bb team came in and we had some eye candy lol :,) I hit  three months  this week! Time has flown by! My eyes really opened on Tuesday. I learned a lot of lessons this week about attitude and mindset. We visited a member named Kitty. She mentioned something about how Satan will try so hard to stop us, especially when it will bring others closer to Christ. I was baffled. I definitely needed to be reminded that. Satan has been working hard on me and it makes me feel good because that tells me I'm making ...

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  I'm just not really having a good time. I love being with friends and members but anything outside of that I'm just not vibing with anything about being a missionary.  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Personal responsibilities - Seek guidance through personal revelation; prayer; and study of the scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon), Preach My Gospel, the teachings of living prophets, and these standards.  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  How did the exchange go?  Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share? (Optional)  Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)

Jesus Has Been Stolen

My goal this week has been to look forward to each day and not to get ahead of myself and it's been easy this week!  Monday we had a huge BBQ with our district. Some Elders had a bunch of meet (sirloin steak, bison, lambs, pork, ribs) so we ate really well that day! To end the night we had dinner at the bishop's house, we had beef stew so we were soo full, I had a lil food baby. Sis Hull and I named her LaFonda.  The next morning was a little too exciting. I'm a cave man zombie in the morning and not really functional till at least 7. BUT, our alarm went off at 6:30 and I started to pray, but at 6:31 we got a call from some sisters who needed us to pick them up from Firestone to take them to their zone conference while there car is in the shop. But before we even left, our downstairs neighbor started whacking a hammer or something all over our ceiling, so I gave em a lil stomp, like "hey you're being loud, stop that" but it made them mad and they came up and p...

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  It's been hard to stay motivated, but I love teaching friends and visiting with members, it helps get me through each day.  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Christlike Behavior - rembering to include the lord in the cbristlike attribute I'm working on this transfer.  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  Sister Fitts  How did the exchange go?  The exchange was good, however I felt like there was a disconnect between us due to lack of trust in me and not listening.  Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share? (Optional)  My sister is pregnant so that's pretty exciting  Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)

Hello! Happy Monday! This has been a week of learning, trial, and, growth! Nonetheless it was still good, I LOVE being a missionary. For preparation day last week we went bowling and hung around the church for a bit. It was a more laid back Monday, but it was much needed. I also got my hair cut which was sad because I'm trying so hard to grow it out. But I damaged it from dying it so much this summer. Also I learned I have naturally wavy hair, so sis cottle (the lady who cut my hair) picked up some salon style shampoo and conditioner so my hair actually dried wavy. That night we met with the Hansen's. They are a returning family. They went inactive fairly soon after their 17 year old son's baptism. So its been a hot minute. But he's a junior in hs right now and has already been accepted into byu on scholarship to play baseball. His parents thought it'd be a good idea for him to know more about the church before going to byu to make sure that's what he wants to d...

Weekly Report

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  We've been teaching a returning family the lessons and they have progressed so much. We shared a little about how to develop testimonies and the Dad and I were crying from the spirit being so strong. They have such a good family and I'm excited for the steps they are taking to come closer to Christ. Their son has decided to get the priesthood which is so exciting!  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Supporting each other as companions - helping Sister Hull make it to her end date and her helping me learn the lessons well and feel confident a&er she leaves.  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  How did the exchange go?  Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share? (Optional)  Is ...

I'm More Than A Bird, I'm More Than A Plane, I'm A Birdplane

Hello all and happy Monday:) It has been a wild week! Transfers were last week, so we have a new district and they're awesome. After the holidays I was missing my family and having a hard time because a lot of our friends and members were canceling lessons, so it was a long week. On Tuesday we were visiting with the Mulberry's and I had zoned out for a minute just feeling sorry for myself. I remember when my sister went on her mission, the stake president blessed her saying "I bless you to feel when people are praying for you" and I wanted to feel that. Brother Mulberry said the opening prayer before we shared our message and he prayed that Sister Hull and I would feel the prayers people say for us. I couldn't help but cry and be grateful for him and how in tune he was with the spirit.  Wednesday was probably the most wild day of my entire mission so far. We went on a hike with our friend Andrew and then taught him about the priesthood and temples at the end of th...

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  This week was difficult with Christmas and the new year. A lot of our friends were canceling. We did lots of stop bys and were able to meet this man named Troy's who we can hopefully start teaching soon.  Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  We invited our friend Andrew to be baptized and be seemed a but hesitant but told us he would be ready by March and is looking forward to it!  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Stress management - I'm not necessarily stressed, but I think this section can help me take inventory of how I'm feeling mentally.  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards...

I Want To Go To There

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope everybody had a fun time celebrating and stayed safe! I've been in Colorado for 7 weeks and have been a missionary for 70 days!! Time has flown by.  This week has been really hard for me. It was transfers, so it was hard to say bye to people on my district but also to see missionaries going home and being with their families. AND it was rough being away for Christmas knowing my family was all together, but I know being a missionary is blessing mine and my family's lives. It also blesses each of my friends and brings then closer to Christ. It's hard, but so worth it.  This week we had a lot of our friends cancel our teaching appointments because of the holidays so it was difficult to stay productive, but there was one day we were doing stop bys and we knocked at a man named Troy's house. We haven't been able to really contact him much because he didn't seem very interested, but he was super awesome when he answered the d...
