Good'ay

Hello! Happy Monday!

This has been a week of learning, trial, and, growth! Nonetheless it was still good, I LOVE being a missionary.

For preparation day last week we went bowling and hung around the church for a bit. It was a more laid back Monday, but it was much needed. I also got my hair cut which was sad because I'm trying so hard to grow it out. But I damaged it from dying it so much this summer. Also I learned I have naturally wavy hair, so sis cottle (the lady who cut my hair) picked up some salon style shampoo and conditioner so my hair actually dried wavy. That night we met with the Hansen's. They are a returning family. They went inactive fairly soon after their 17 year old son's baptism. So its been a hot minute. But he's a junior in hs right now and has already been accepted into byu on scholarship to play baseball. His parents thought it'd be a good idea for him to know more about the church before going to byu to make sure that's what he wants to do. And it definitely is, he says he loves coming to chuch. Last week we invited him to pray about getting the priesthood and he said he wants to receive that! I'm so excited.

Tuesday had me questioning my entire existence (lol jk but not really). We had exchanges and the STL (Sister training leader) I was with just was not very nice. She didn't listen to me and she just didn't treat me very good, so it was a really long day and I missed my sweet companion, Sister Hull. But Tuesday really was wild. We met with this women names Star Snow and she's this crazy lady. She basically taught us, we got there and she sat us down and taught us about 1 Nephi 1 and she was crusting over to Job 1 and then taking about the Quron, honestly I was kinda lost the whole time haha. We asked her if she believes the book of mormon and she told us there is too much factual evidence and science to not. So she lacks faith but we couldn't help her much. We asked for a return appointment and she said no #awk.

Friday we had interviews with President and I basically just went in there and cried just catching him up on life as a missionary and things that have been difficult, it was a tad embarrassing but it's ok. He gave me a blessing and I know that power and authority he has will bless me and help me. I'm so grateful for the priesthood and the blessings it brings.

I know that this church is true and the gospel blesses our lives. I have relied so much on the book of mormon verse Alma 37:37, "council with the lord in all they doings" when life is tough or whether you are on cloud 9, your Heavenly Father wants to hear from you and bless you!

I love each of you and am so appreciative of the love and support I receive.
