Tu Es Moy Bonita
Happy Monday and happy birthday week!
This week was soo good! Thank you for all your prayers and kindness <3
Last week, we hung out at the church and didn't really do anything which was fine because I got to talk with my family, and was much needed. I've been having a rough time, so it was nice being able to talk with them after a long week the week before. We also had chick fil a for lunch and the location is my fav because one time we went and the entire Dallas college bb team came in and we had some eye candy lol :,)
I hit three months this week! Time has flown by! My eyes really opened on Tuesday. I learned a lot of lessons this week about attitude and mindset. We visited a member named Kitty. She mentioned something about how Satan will try so hard to stop us, especially when it will bring others closer to Christ. I was baffled. I definitely needed to be reminded that. Satan has been working hard on me and it makes me feel good because that tells me I'm making a difference in people's lives. It sucks but lowkey I'm honored LOL.
Wednesday was just awesome. I was in such a good mood all day. We got to go on a walk with our friend Andrew, it was freezing, but I love going on walks. We also got to visit this super old couple, the Jaynes. They are probably the sweetest couple I've ever met. She just turned 95 about a month ago and is still so sharp. But the love in their home and the love they have for each other is the cutest thing. I hope to be like them one day :,) also Jeremy looked so. good. today! Like he was glowing, he hasn't smoked or drank in over a week!
I got a Dr pepper today, so that always makes the day good haha. But thrusday morning we went to Sister Alexander's and she's the sweetest. I lover her so much. She always sends us home with goodies which is totally a plus lol. We also visited a part member family, the Arguello's. It was so fun, we just joked the entire time with their son Mateo. He's like 40 and jobless but he's so funny.
On Friday I met up with one of my dad's friend's from high school. Her name is Karen and she's so sweet, she took us out to lunch. She also knew a guy in our ward, such a small world! We also visited Justen again. (The guy with TBI and is nonverbal) anyway, I told him how I'm learning Spanish on duo lingo and he spelt out "Tu es moy bonita" and "tu smell moy bien" heh. I was flattered, I think it's safe to say he's got a lil crush.
We started teaching this guy named Craig and he is elect!! He was referred to us by a member. They started talking about the church and he loved it, so the member asked if he'd like a book of mormon and he responded saying, "let me pray about it first" he decided yes and has been loving the book!! We taught the plan of salvation and he said it answered so many questions he had. We were going to put him on date for baptism but the member ruined it, lol its fine. We're going to ask again on Tuesday woohoo!
God is in the details of your life. "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." When we rely on the Lord and are willing to come to him with our struggles, he will direct us to a better path and strengthen us.
