I'm More Than A Bird, I'm More Than A Plane, I'm A Birdplane
Hello all and happy Monday:)
It has been a wild week! Transfers were last week, so we have a new district and they're awesome. After the holidays I was missing my family and having a hard time because a lot of our friends and members were canceling lessons, so it was a long week. On Tuesday we were visiting with the Mulberry's and I had zoned out for a minute just feeling sorry for myself. I remember when my sister went on her mission, the stake president blessed her saying "I bless you to feel when people are praying for you" and I wanted to feel that. Brother Mulberry said the opening prayer before we shared our message and he prayed that Sister Hull and I would feel the prayers people say for us. I couldn't help but cry and be grateful for him and how in tune he was with the spirit.
Wednesday was probably the most wild day of my entire mission so far. We went on a hike with our friend Andrew and then taught him about the priesthood and temples at the end of the hike. It was beautiful. Right before we headed back down we were sharing jokes and stories. Sister Hull won the jokes with "I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane, I'm a bird plane." It was way funnier than it should have been, I blame it on how thin and dry the air is here haha. It was also wild because Andrew is a chiropractor and he overheard me telling Sister Hull my knees hurt and how they start to hurt when the barometric pressure changes. He laughed and said I'm too young to be saying that so he checked my knees and said they need an adjustment but I was too scared it would hurt and I said no lol.
Later that night we were going to get some dinner and I turned over a median and gave us a flat tire. I shed a single tear out of embarrassment and fear I'd lose my driving priledges, luckily I'm in the clear and the tire has been fixed. Phew.
The next day our car was on the shop all day so we walked everywhere. Which I loved so much. The gloomy days really get me down, so being able to move around helped a lot:)
This week I've learned that Heavenly Father is so mindful of each of you. He wants to help us throughout this life, but more importantly through each day. Remember to say your prayers and read your scriptures and do things that invite the spirit to direct you. God is waiting to bless you, so do everything you can to receive those blessings.
