Weekly Report

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  I love being a missionary and shsring the gospel and my testimony with others. But, I've been so angry. I'm not sure why and it's affecting how I feel the spirit sometimes. I even had one of our friends ask if something is going on... they could tell too :,(  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Christlike behavior - Pray and work to develop Christlike attribute of patience  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  How did the exchange go?  Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share? (Optional)  Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)  During the past month, how have you seen the hand of the Lord in your work?  He had guided me to know what to share and say w...

Hi everyone! Good morning and happy Monday, I always look forward to Monday's so I can share how my week went:,) Monday was kinda wild. We drove up into the mountains (Woodland Park), it's an Elders area, but we were going to look at ice sculptures. But, because it was Presidents day the buses weren't running so we ate crappy Mexican food instead and we  all  got sick lol. I got a free powerade on Tuesday, which is nice, I def needed a lil act of kindness. I decided to study patience this transfer and I'm sure you can guess what's going on... of course I'm hitting ever red light, around people who chew with their mouths open, and all that jazz (smh). So I needed that blue powerade haha. Also we had dinner at this family's house, the Rasmussen's, and the vibes were weird. They turned out all the lights and lit candles and everyone seemed kinda fake. It was odd, but the food was good. Also exciting news! We met with Charlotte and she knows she'll be ba...

Weekly Report

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  One of our friends, Craig, is having some concerns about divorce and how that works in the church and understanding the priesthood/receiving the holy ghost by the laying on of hands. He asked to be taken off date :,( but, he still wants to meet with us and I believe he will still be baptized!  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Christlike behavior - the christlike attribute I'm working on this transfer is patience. I want my focus to be on the Savior as I strive to develop this quality.  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  How did the exchange go?  Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share? (Optional)  Is there anything else you would like to share? (Optional)

Yay for Monday! It's been a long week ha. We played volleyball on Monday last week, and I'm horrible at it hahah, but I'm always happy to be there and play lol. My teammates may disagree but it's fine. For dinner we ate at a members house and she made Indian food (which I've never had before) and it was delicious. I've decided Valentines Day is way more fun as a missionary because I don't have to worry about men️ just Jesus HAHA. Today was also really good because we saw Charlotte for the first time in weeks! She's been really sick, but is feeling better now. She's thee sweetest and I'm glad we got to see her! Wednesday we were parked the entire day (we weren't aloud to drive), which was rough because we don't even live in our zone so we couldn't just walk. Plus there was like 7 inches of snow so walking woulda sucked. But it worked out cuz it was my mom's bday!! So I got to call her and we were able to talk for a while since we d...

Forget Me Not

I've made it to transfer three! Time has been cruising by. How has everyone's week been? Monday was my last day with Natasha (feels unnatural calling you that now sis hull). I'm grateful for the time I had as her companion and for her training me. I miss you already. Monday we went bowling and I got second place. Best game I've prob ever played and it wasn't even that good haha.  A chapter closed Tuesday morning as I drove to pick up my new companion, Sister Strain. She's really young and things are still kinda awk with her. But we're together for at least 6 weeks so I'm sure we'll find our groove.  There's an Elder in the mission who had a seizure and was in the shower. As He fell he hit the hot water and got burned really bad. He was sent to the burn unit in Denver to recover. Keep him in your prayers!  Sis Hull left me a lil note before she left and she recommended the talk "Forget Me Not" by Dieter F. Uchtdorf and BOY is it good. It...

Weekly Report

Please share a few successes and/or challenges from your efforts to fulfill your missionary purpose this past week.  Some members, the Scott's, invited our friends Nuno and his son Kayan over for dinner. Nuno was born in Portugal, specifically the Azor Islands, and that's where Brother Scott served his mission. They clicked right away and get along really well! That night we taught lesson 3 and invited Nuno to be baptized! He said he doesn't feel ready yet but is open to it. I'm excited to keep working with him and help him aim for baptism.  What is one area you can focus on this coming week to more closely follow the principles in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ?  Christlike behavior - strive to be christlike in all my interactions with others.  Who did you participate in exchanges with?  How did the exchange go?  Is there anything happening at home or with your family that you would like to share? (Optional)  Is there anything else...

Another great week has come and gone!  Our district walked around Manitou Springs again, Monday, in the -3⁰ weather lol, it was freezing, but fun!  Tuesday Sister Hull and I went to Sister Plowman's house and made tortillas with her and then ate casadilllas with her. After lunch we headed to the doctors. I needed some blood work but I was so dehydrated nothing would draw so I was sent away with no labs taken lol. He poked both arms to make sure that's what was going on, but one of my arms is super bruised! Wednesday we met with Craig again and put him on date for March 4!! He's trying so hard to quit coffee, so keep him in your prayers. He drinks 4 POTS a day, so he needs all the prayers he can get. Anyway, I started the morning drinking  tons  of water to ensure they could draw my blood today, luckily when I went back it worked and I've been really good about drinking water since! Celebrated my birthday here in Colorado!! I am so appreciative of the ward members and...
