THE TIME OF MY LIFE
Monday was fun and lowkey. We went mini golfing and I'm surprisingly not too shabby.
Tuesday we has zone conference and it was really good, wow! We talked about Alma 42 and the Plan of Salvation and then tied in Easer and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It really put the plan of salvation into perspective for me and how intricate it is. We closed with signing I belive in Christ and I couldn't help but be tearful knowing all my Savior went through and how much love he has for each of us.
Wednesday was nice and busy. We had a lesson with a friend, Jacob, and it went really well. We taught him about the plan of salvation (which was really fun to do after zone cinference). The spirit in his apartment was so strong. He said in the past he doesn't think he feels it very often so I pray he felt it there!
We had dinner with a family in the ward, the Crabtree's. They are funny. It felt like being home a lil bit. They have 6 kids and it was a bit chaotic but I loved it haha.
Thursday we got to hang out with a member, Ursula. She's also a hoot! She's real spunky. She invited us over to have dinner with her and then when we finished we started to share our spiritual message. Right in the middle she's like, "hang on I need to use the restroom" and then left. She came back a few minutes later with elephant slippers on HAHA. She told me about then earlier in our visit but decided to put them on in the middle of our message. She cracks me up.
We also practiced our dirty dancing lift skills. I'd say we'd be pretty good stunt doubles...
Woohoo for Friday! We commit our friends Memori and Leo to church! We also visited with a member, Tonya. She shared her conversation story with us and it was incredible. She was praying to know who God is and a few days later the missionaries knocked on her door:')
Sister Johnson and I made it a goal to 'street contact' during every companion study. We chose this lady named MJ. At first it was AWK. She sat down and had just got her food, I didn't want to go bug her right when she started eating... but then she took her salad to the front and sat back down! So we went over and started asking her about her Easter plans and if she has church to go to on Easter. She said yes and she had actually been studying the Holy Week. She told us about all the notes she had taken and I was getting anxious that her food would come before we were able to share something with her. Luckily it never came until we were done (hallelujah). We talked about 3 Nephi 11 and and how when Christ was resurrected he came to the America's to teach the people here. She seemed a bit skeptical about the idea. We marked it in a Book of Mormon and gave it to her. I hope she reads it!!
Saturday was kinda rough. All of our lessons cancelled today, bummer. Luckily we got to start the morning off at our ward Easter brunch. That was super fun and the pancakes were bomb.
Sunday we went to church and and talked more about Holy Week. I love that we're talking more about that in the church! We also got THREE friends to church! This is huge! After church i got to call home and talk with my family. Then we had dinner at the Christensen's and we got to read 3 Nephi 11:1-17 with then. Elder Stevenson shared in general conference that that is the greatest Easter story ever told!
