I Am The Lorax, I Speak For The Trees
Happy Easter Week!
Monday was a good day talking with family! We played apples to apples at the church for a bit but it was mostly a relaxing day woohoo.
I had my first Starbucks cakepop on Tuesday lol. It made me think of my mom cuz she used to make them all the time:,) We also laughed a lot today. We attempted to make videos for a Facebook friend but we could barely get through a sentence haha.
I decided I'm studying diligence this transfer and so far it's been going well! I've learned that diligence isn't just doing what we're supposed to, but it's also doing it with joy! I feel like my relationship with my Heavenly Father has grown stronger as I include him in my goals.
Wednesday I finished my journal! It is so cool to look back at all of my experiences so far and see my progress and growth since I started the MTC 161 days ago! (Crazy ik.) Ha anyway, Sis J and I talked a lot about patriarchal blessings during our comp study today and how important they are. I love how mine guides me and helps me feel of my Heavenly Father's love for me! I encourage you to read yours if you haven't recently!
There was a family we went to visit tonight and we wanted to show them a video but we couldn't find it on YouTube to watch on their TV. So we picked a random Hear Him video and it was so good! (I'll link it below so you can watch too. Also wear headphones for a better experience.) The spirit in their home was so strong! It made me super excited for general conference and to hear His voice through His prophets and apostles.
Thursday morning had me busting up laughing. We helped at the bishop storehouse by picking up trash around the building. We got some bright green gloves and Sister Johnson goes, "I feel like the Oncelor from the Lorax in these" so naturally we started singing the music from the movie lol.
We taught a new friend named Charlotte about the Restoration. She's super chatty, but she listened really well to our message. She didn't agree with everything but I pray she'll want to learn more and progress!
We taught our friend Jacob Friday afternoon about prophets and general conference! I think it went pretty well! He's really honest about how he's doing with the invites we give him and his commitment, it's not great, but I'm grateful he's open about it...
Saturday and Sunday were spent watching general conference and BOY do I feel spiritually uplifted! I had my questions answered and new goals I want to work on! I really enjoyed Elder Cook's message about pressing forward with faith! "Do not give up despite weakness, just keep going with faith" What a beautiful reminder that whatever we are facing is not the end! We must keep going with faith and relying on our Savior, Jesus Christ.
